The 7 Commandments of a Teacher of Faith

1. Bring the children to the Lord Jesus

If the teacher is not in the spirit, how can she pass Him to the children? The teacher is not winning the children to herself, but for Jesus. That is why she rebukes and praises with wisdom. there is no point in creating a thousand fun games for the children to play and in the end they didn't come to know the Way, the Truth and the Life.

" Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me..." Luke 9.48

2. Do not treat the Kidszone as a child daycare center

Many teachers think: " The only reason why the children are here is to not interrupt the pastor's service". she then sits down and lets the children do whatever they want without realizing the big mistake she is making.
The lesson for the day is what God wants to show the children.

" But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother." Proverbs 29.15

3. Be commited

Arriving late, not reading or meditating the lesson for the day, not preparing the materials for the lesson, etc. are a few examples of teachers who don't dedicate themselves to give their best to God and to the little ones.

" cursed is he who does the work of God deceitfully..." Jeremiah 48.10

4. Leave your problems outside the Kidszone

we all go through problems and hardships, but we cant bring them with us to the classroom. Doing so will make the teacher nervous, tense, and will not be able to help the children. always pray by yourself before calling the children and leave your problems in the hands of God.

" Come to me , all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" Mathew 11.28

Kids Zone teachers Meeting of March 2013

Hello teachers!

We are gathering all the teachers in all our states to explain  the importance of the work with children.

Check out what happened in the state of New Jersey:

"Train up a child in the way he should go,

And when he is old he will not depart from it." Pv 22.6

This verse shows us the importance of teaching the Bible to children when they are at a young age, because they receive a spiritual structure which is strong enough to keep them in God's ways as they grow older.
As saved people who know the truth that delivers and saves, we have this assurance that if we dedicate time to teach this little ones their Word of God we are sowing a seed, that may last for their all life and save this children from hell.
Can you imagine now the importance of helping us at Kidszone? It's a privileged way of serving our God.

And in the state of Arizona :

Learning from the Master - Method 2

Interaction

Jesus preached to multitudes, but He also interacted one on one and in small groups.

He skillfully asked questions and gave wise answers. His questions often drew the truth out of people, causing them to discover the truth themselves and say it with their own lips.
This is extremely effective both with friendly and hostile company. (Luke 10:25-28, 36; 14:3-5; 15:4)

When people reason through coming up with answers, they tend to remember them better.

Learning from the Master- Method 1

Hello Teachers!

I would really like to hear from you. What methods of teaching did Jesus used? Can you tell us one?

I have one for you!

Objects

Jesus sometimes refers to an object – something familiar, or something nearby, in making His point. He speaks of how well-fed the birds are and how well clothed the lilies are. (Luke 12:22-28)

What about you? What did you learn with Jesus? Share it with us!

God bless,

Carmo Dinis

Learning from the Master

Did you know that the Lord Jesus was the best of teachers?

He taught by asking questions, through the parables, telling stories, etc. He taught complex things  using simple examples from everyday life.

He used teaching instruments like the fields, the mountains, the birds, the storms, the sheep...
We need to do the same today. Use what we have to teach the children in a fun, easy and unforgettable way!

When we are reading the lesson, or the Bible, we must do it as a Christian Educator and be able to extract from that story methods of teaching the word of God!

Do that and share your comments with us here. What teaching methos did you learn with Jesus Today?

In faith,
